Metalor Singapore’s addition means the LBMA good delivery list now stands at 72 Gold and 79 silver refiners
The Metalor Group’s new refinery in Singapore has been added following substantial testing by the LBMA and joins an elite group of the world’s best precious metals refiners on The London Good Delivery List of Acceptable Refiners.
An LBMA spokesman announced today that Metalor Singapore had “passed the LBMA’s exhaustive testing procedures, under which its gold bars were examined and assayed by independent referees, and its own assaying capabilities were tested“.
The Singapore City based subsidiary of Swiss Metalor has been examined in relation to ownership, history, production capability and financial standing.
The new refinery produces 400oz and kilobars, primarily using industrial and post-consumer scrap.
The LBMA’s listing is a rapid turnaround, given the announcement of the new refinery opening less than a month ago.
