I have followed Peter Schiff for over a decade and trusted his brand’s reputation for honesty. Unfortunately, my recent experience proves that his company, SchiffGold, is using that reputation as a facade to take customer funds for inventory they do not possess.

I placed a $5,000+ order on January 8, 2026. At the time of purchase, there were no disclaimers regarding backlogs or delivery delays; the website gave the clear impression that all items were fully in stock. My payment cleared on January 9, yet for three weeks, I was met with vague excuses. On January 24, they finally admitted in writing they did not have the physical inventory and were ‘special ordering’ a substitute.

In an effort to resolve this, I requested that my silver order be converted to 1oz Gold Maple Leaf coins—a reasonable compromise to bypass their silver shortage. SchiffGold has completely ignored this request. It is deeply disappointing that a company built on ‘honest money’ would lure a customer into a $5,000 transaction under false pretenses and then refuse to communicate or provide a refund. I am now escalating this to the New York Attorney General, FTC and the BBB. Do not trust the ‘in stock’ status on their site.

I placed an order just about two weeks ago. They accepted payment, notified me via email that they accepted payment. I’ve yet to receive my silver bars and I’ve emailed, called, left voicemails countless times in each category and have not gotten a response literally at all. I trusted Peter and am happy to come back and leave a better review, but by definition here it looks like I go screwed out of over $5k…

DO NOT BUY OR SELL TO THIS COMPANY. SilverGoldBull has stolen $30k of our funds since we wired our payment in full on Nov 24, 2025 and lied to us every single day when we have called to find out where our order is. From the sales staff, to the shipping staff, to the shipping manager, and now the “supervisor” we have on record they have lied, with a different story each time why the order hasn’t gone out yet.

For us this was a large order, and we called several times in advance before placing the order, and another 2 times before sending the money. SilverGoldBull assured us they had the bars physically in stock and ready to ship. Now they are lying again, today saying it was “packed and ready to go, but then they opened the package and it wasn’t of high enough quality so they didn’t ship it.”

It has been TEN DAYS of daily phone calls, every day they tell us they have the product and it’s “going out by the end of the day tomorrow”. Every day, it does not. Finally we have had to threaten legal action today, only to have them offer a refund. Silver has hit all time highs and they are trying to cover and get out of delivering the metals.

At no point did they proactively call us to tell them there was an issue. At no point did they offer us an alternative.

I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY OR SELL TO THIS COMPANY. They are liars and your money will be gone.

Unfortunately, not as glowing as those prior to 2020. Placed an order Oct 2025, BGASC told me the order had shipped on Nov 1 and provided a FedEx tracking number, but didn’t provide the bullion to FedEx. As of today still no bullion, and they have my cash $39,742. Customer service is reasonably responsive, but you have to sit on hold for between 30 and 90 minutes. All anyone can tell me is that they are investigating and that it can take 30 days. This is beyond the 26 days I’ve already waited to receive my order.

After my order hit a snag with BGASC I placed orders with Summit Metals and Bullion Exchange. Both companies shipped my orders and they were received in less than two weeks. So it’s clearly not a supply issue. This is more likely a company issue and so I could not recommend anyone purchasing from this group.

Not usually the cheapest, but always solid and trustworthy! Occasionally they run great specials. Their inventory system is on point, what their computer says they have is always correct.

We use their website often as a resource for baseline pricing.

Texas Precious Metals continues to be one of our favorite sources for bullion. What they lack in diversity of products, they really make up for in customer service. The same guys answer the phones every day, and it’s easy to develop a smooth working relationship.

They are definitely the fastest retail buyback service we have used, and also deliver products like clockwork. Small orders get treated with the same respect as large orders, which is hard to find in this industry!

This company has taken my money and vanished. Nobody is answering the phone. Nobody is replying to emails.
