I wanted a Gold Value Appraisal on an old 14k Waltham Pocket Watch … I took it to a Jeweler and Hock Shop in NB both offered appraisals of used gold … The Hock Shop appraisal was ridiculous and I felt the Jeweler Appraisal was low, although it was 3 times more the Hock Shop…. I had to go to Barrie and decided to try getting an appraisal on the old watch there ….. I selected Barrie Gold Buyer, as they was close to my destination . I was impressed with their method of comparing similar watches without Crystal or works , size, etc. They made me a offer in writing for my old watch, which I accepted for cash …. Their appraisal was $3000.00 more than the offers I received in North Bay and so a word of caution do not trust Jewelers or Hock Shops… go to a precious metal buyer … Both of the appraisals in North Bay were a farce …… Thank you Barrie Gold Buyer …..Keith T.
